PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of improving the wet braking performance and maneuvering stability performance of a tire. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire 1 has a belt layer 5 formed on the outer periphery in the tire radial direction of a carcass layer having a tire nominal width of 265 or larger and having a tire aspect ratio of 40 or smaller. This pneumatic tire 1 is composed of a plurality of belt cords aligned with the belt layers 5. A belt angle in the tire peripheral direction of the belt cords in a center area of the belt layer 5 is set larger than a belt angle in the tire peripheral direction of the belt cords in a shoulder area of the belt layer 5. The belt end number of a belt wire diameter of the belt cords in the center area of the belt layer 5 is also set smaller than the belt end number and the belt wire diameter of the belt cords in the shoulder area of the belt layer 5.
