The invention relates to an adjustable post support comprising a ground-engaging portion (2 figure 1), adjustment means and a post carrier (3 figure 1). The post carrier has an inner section 10 adapted to mount a post and an outer section 6. The ground-engaging portion and the post carrier have co-operating surfaces 4 and 6 in the form of flanges which are adjustable to each other in more than one plane. The adjustment may be made by set screws (12 figure 6) located in the outer flange. Once the post carrier has been levelled it is fixed in place by fixing nuts 13 and flexible washers 14 on locating studs 5. The flexible washers compensate for miss-alignment between the locating studs 5 and the flange 6. Springs 15 may be positioned between flanges 4 and 6 and possibly above the flange 6 to allow the whole fence to flex in high winds. |
