DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CALIBRATING MIMO SYSTEMS

A device and a method for calibrating an MIMO(Multiple-Input Multiple Output) system are provided to simplify a calibration substrate by replacing a huge directional coupler and combiner/divider with a switch and an attenuator. A calibration circuit includes first to fourth input and output ports(11-14). The first and second input and output ports are arranged to be connected to different transmitter and receiver pairs of an MIMO system. The third and fourth input and output ports are arranged to be connected to different antennas. The calibration circuit further includes an attenuator, a first non-reciprocal switch(S3), and a second non-reciprocal switch(S4). The attenuator includes a first attenuator port(21) and a second attenuator port(22). The first non-reciprocal switch connects the first input and output port and the third input and output port or the first input and output port and the first attenuator port. The second non-reciprocal switch connects the second input and output port and the fourth input and output port or the second input and output port and the second attenuator port.
