An image processing method and apparatus are provided to provide a simpler and faster procedure for determining a color temperature and to simplify a procedure for determining whether a single pixel belongs to a predetermined range. Sample pixels are received by an optical sensor of a camera(S30A). The first log curve is generated on the first log plane according to sample gray levels(S30B). The second log plane is generated by changing coordinate axes of the first log plane to thereby convert the first log curve into the second log curve(S30C). A set of adjusting parameters are generated according to the difference between the first and second log curves of the camera(S30D).
