A brake disk clearance maintaining device is provided to prevent degradation of braking capability by maintaining distance between brake disks and brake plates uniformly. A brake disk clearance maintaining device comprises a brake housing, a plurality of brake disks(25), a plurality of brake plates(30), a piston and a clearance maintaining unit. The brake housing wraps an axle shaft. The brake disks are fixed to the axle shaft. The brake plates are disposed between the brake disks. The piston pressurizes the brake plates with introduced pressure oil. The clearance maintaining unit automatically returns the brake plates in fixed disposition distance with respect to the brake disks in case of backward movement of the piston.
