New pharmaceutical compositions (A) in hydrogel form containing active agent(s) (I), a carbonic acid diester (II), a 2-4C alkanol (III) and a polymeric matrix (IV). An independent claim is included for the use of (II) for improving the transdermal permeation of medicaments in hydrogels (preferably, but not exclusively, in hydrogels as defined for (A)).
