The indicator (17) has supports (21, 22) that are in contact with ink (24), where the ink is placed in a glass capsule (23). The capsule is inserted between the supports connected at their ends (25, 26). The supports are selected from compounds such as cellulose, tissue, cotton, polymer, paper or blotting paper, rendered more hydrophilic during contacting with oxygen and nitrogen atoms present in an after-discharge plasma. An independent claim is also included for a method for indicating presence of oxygen and nitrogen atoms in after-discharge plasma.
