PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display apparatus adapted to prevent the degradation in the display quality by a feed through voltage and a driving method thereof. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display apparatus includes a plurality of common electrodes divided to two or more to which a common voltage is independently applied; liquid crystal cells of an m×n ((m) and (n) are positive integers) indicating images by using liquid crystal molecules driven by potential differences between a pixel electrode and the common electrode; (m) data lines to which the data voltage is supplied; (n) gate line to which the data voltage is supplied; m×n storage capacitors which is formed between the pixel electrodes of the liquid crystal cells and the gate lines and in which the voltage of the liquid cell is held; a data driving section which inverts the polarity of the data voltage to the number of division of n/k ((k) is the number of divisions of the common electrode, 2≤k≤n) line units and supplies the data voltage to the data line; and a common voltage controller which changes the potential of the common voltage to n/k common electrode units.
