PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor an internal temperature of a semiconductor storage device by a command of a controller side and to allow the internal temperature at that time to be output by using an existing output pin. SOLUTION: The semiconductor storage device includes a temperature sensor 12 for detecting the internal temperature of the device, an oscillator 13 generating a clock signal, and a latch circuit 11 for performing the driving based on the clock signal of the oscillator 13 and temporally latching temperature data from the temperature sensor 12 at the time when a command from an external controller is received. The latch circuit 11 outputs the temperature information based on the latched temperature data through the existing output pin 2 toward the controller in response to the command.
