<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply constituted cover opening and closing mechanism which can be manufactured at a low cost and can improve operability of opening and closing a cover by changing a load given to the cover performing opening and closing operation by the position of the cover, and to provide a printing apparatus equipped with the cover opening and closing mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: Within a first movable range which is the whole movable range between a closing position and an opening position of the cover 20, a resisting force to the moving cover 20 is given by a first damper means consisting of a sliding plate 60 and a first projecting part 40. Furthermore, within a second movable range which is a movable range from a specified position between the closing position and the opening position of the cover 20 to the closing position, the resisting force to the moving cover 20 is given by a second damper means consisting of a nail part provided on a hook 64 and a second projecting part 38 in addition to the resisting force by the first damper means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
