<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmitting device capable of certainly controlling engagement and disengagement of a two-way clutch installed between an outer ring and an inner ring without being influenced by temperature variation. <P>SOLUTION: The two-way clutch 20 having a roller 23 and a retainer 24 for retaining the roller 23 is installed between the outer ring 10 and the inner ring 12, and a rotation control means 30 for controlling rotation of the retainer 24 is provided in parallel to the two-way clutch 20. The rotation control means 30 is formed by an armature 31 prevented from turning relative to the retainer 24; a pressing plate 32 arranged so as to be opposed to the armature 31; a plurality of solenoids 33 for moving the pressing plate 32 in a direction separating it from the armature 31; and an elastic member 34 for biasing the pressing plate 32 toward the armature 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
