<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor white light emitting element which can suppress the deviation of the color of white light, and to provide a method of manufacturing the semiconductor white light emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor white light emitting element 2 comprises a blue light emitting layer 15 and a yellow light converting layer 18. The blue light emitting layer 15 is provided for emitting blue light. The yellow light converting layer 18 is composed of a semiconductor (AlGaInP layer). The yellow light converting layer 18 is provided for converting the blue light emitted by the blue light emitting layer 15 to yellow light and is adhered onto a p-type contact layer 17. The blue light emitting layer 15 and the yellow light converting layer 18 are formed on substrates 11 and 25 separately, and then adhered by thermocompression. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
