<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information receiving device that can acquire especially important data among a large amount of data without any loss even when the large amount of data exceeding processing capability are input, and an information receiving method. <P>SOLUTION: When data sent out from a plurality of information sending-out devices are received and the amount of the data is too large to process all the data, the priority order of decoding and expansion of the respective data is determined on the basis of the number of stages of encoding of the respective received data, the respective data are decoded in the priority order, and further the respective decoded data are expanded. Consequently, when the data exceeding the processing capability need to be processed, data considered to be important can be selected out of the plurality of received data and processed preferentially to other data. When the device is applied to a video monitoring system, video data of important data are free of frame missing and audio data do not break off, so the device functions sufficiently for the video monitoring system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
