PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head substrate which can record stably at a low cost and at a high speed. SOLUTION: An ink supply port slim along a longitudinal direction of the head substrate, a plurality of recording elements along the ink supply port which carry out recording by ejecting the ink, and a plurality of driving elements along an arrangement direction of the recording elements which drive the plurality of recording elements are installed in the head substrate. Moreover, a logic circuit is set along an arrangement direction of the plurality of driving elements, which divides the plurality of driving elements to a plurality of blocks and drives the driving elements that belong to each block by time sharing. Furthermore, a plurality of shift registers are installed along the arrangement direction of the plurality of driving elements, which supply data to the logic circuit corresponding to each block. A buffer circuit which buffers a clock signal used for inputting the data to the shift registers is arranged between a plurality of the shift registers.
