A take-up pipe (1) is placed along the upper edge of a building window, and both ends of the pipe are individually rotatably supported by side brackets (2R). The upper end of the screen, having a weight bar attached to its lower end, is fixed to the take-up pipe, and the take-up pipe is rotated by a motor (5) in the normal and reverse directions to wind up and wind down the screen. A light receiving section (27) for receiving pulse signal light emitted from a remote controller is attached to either one of the side brackets. The light receiving section is attached such that the direction of light reception is symmetric about a vertical line drawn downward and is changeable to two directions having different phases.
