An oil heater for an oil tank is provided to heat oil of the oil tank as well as coolant of the engine in a severe cold area by pre-heating the engine oil of the oil tank through pre-heated water, using a heating cover. An oil heater for an oil tank is installed at one side of an engine body. The oil tank is installed with a heating cover(10) to pre-heat engine oil in the oil tank through pre-heated water circulating in the heating cover and to supply the pre-heated engine oil to the engine body. The heating cover includes a pre-heat water chamber(11), a plurality of pre-heat fins(12), a pre-heat water inlet(13), and a pre-heat water outlet(14). The pre-heat fins are installed in the heating cover to heat the engine oil.
