PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner containing toner particles, the toner particles being manufactured by a spinning method with high productivity, exhibiting uniform characteristics such as low temperature fixing property and offset resistance, in particular, being excellent in low temperature fixing property, and hardly causing various problems accompanying exposure of wax even when the toner is repeatedly used for image formation for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner contains cylindrical toner particles manufactured by elongating a toner component containing wax having a melting point of 100°C or lower in a fused state into cylindrical fibers and cutting the fibers. The melt viscosity-temperature characteristics of the toner measured by using a flow tester show the gradient Sνof 1×10<SP>4</SP>Pa S/°C or less. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
