PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation tool superior in a crime preventive effect, installable, for example, on a wall surface of a door of furniture, a door of fittings and a wall surface of a sliding door, regardless of whether or not to be used by being associated to a locking mechanism of a lock and a locking means arranged in a door frame. SOLUTION: This operation tool for an opening-closing body is composed of an installation base body 5 and an operation member 20 rotatably arranged in this installation base body via a support shaft 19. The installation base body is composed of both side plate parts 8 extendedly formed so as to be opposed from one end part 6 and a continuously arranging part 9 projectingly formed inside both these side plate parts and having a fixed bearing part unable to look at the shaft end from an outside surface of both side plate parts and a set of upper-lower opening parts 10 in the axial direction of the fixed bearing part. While, the operation member has a movable bearing part 23 loosely fitted to the opening parts in its base end part, and the support shaft also journals the operation member in a state of being respectively inserted into the fixed/movable bearing parts via a vertical groove 14 of one side surface of the continuously arranging part.
