<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device capable of improving durability of a seal so as to maintain bearing performance for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of side lips 12a, 12b are in sliding contact with a rising plate part 10b of a slinger 10 and a radial lip 12c is in sliding contact with a cylindrical part 10a of the slinger 10. The thickness tB of the rising plate part 10b of the slinger 10 is larger than the thickness tA of a core 11. The thickness tB of the rising plate part 10b of the slinger 10 is 1 mm or more. Accordingly, even if the lip sliding surface of the rising plate part 10b is shaved off due to wear, since the rising plate part 10b has the sufficient thickness, the rising plate part 10b is not cut off or the rigidity thereof is not lowered so that the sealing performance is not deteriorated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
