A method for joining different kinds of materials is provided to simplify works and to obtain a junction part that compounds of metals are not formed, by joining magnesium and aluminum after positioning a zinc ball on the surface of one of magnesium and aluminum. A method for joining different kinds of materials comprises the steps of: overlapping first and second plates(4,5) made of different kinds of materials; positioning a zinc ball(2) on the surface of the first plate; and heating the zinc ball. The zinc ball is melted before the first plate and combined with the first plate with penetrating through the first plate. And, the first and second plates are combined as the zinc ball is solidified between the first and second plates.
