<p>Multipurpose door hinge with height adjustment. Two hinges are used for each door. A threaded shank (2) is screwed onto wooden frame and second threaded shank (8) onto door. An intermediate cylinder (13) is placed in the body of the hinge. The door is then placed in such a way that the flat parts of the ball-joint end to the support (2) enter slits in body of hinge and the door rests on the ground. Then the screws (11) in both top and bottom hinges are tightened in order to ensure the necessary play at the bottom of the door for easy opening. The alignment is then adjusted by tightening or loosening the shank (2). When the door is opened, the intermediate cylinder (13) is rotated by the flat parts of shank (2). The hinge can be easily adapted to fit onto lap-jointed door, door which fits flush with frame, or door where frame protrudes and by means of a flap welded to the body, it can also be used on car-doors.</p> |
