<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the luminance of a light-emitting device that uses a fiber luminous body cable, and to widen the application range thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A high-output LED light-emitting element serving as a light source which has high light-emission efficiency and high visibility has a 0.5 W output or higher for a wavelength range of 400 nm to 850 nm. Accordingly, a distance covered across the longitudinal direction of an optical fiber for light irradiated from the light source is large. Moreover, uniform and ample light irradiation from the outer peripheral surface can be conducted extending over the entire longitudinal direction of the optical fiber. As a result, the light-emitting device can be provided which is functional and moreover highly versatile, has conventionally unavailable high fish-gathering efficiency or improved optical visibility, and is satisfactory in durability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
