摘要 An apparatus and a method for supplying safe cooling water used in a ship by seawater electrolysis are provided to cause marine aquatic microorganisms to be naturally annihilated or destroyed due to the growth inhibition of the aquatic microorganisms, thereby prevent the aquatic microorganisms from living in a supply pipe or a cooler by generating electrolyzed water and consistently supplying the electrolyzed water into a seawater inflow passage. An apparatus for supplying safe cooling water used in a ship by seawater electrolysis comprises: a tubular electrolyzed water generator(100) which has a positive electrode(130) and a negative electrode(140) formed on an inner peripheral surface thereof in such a shape that the electrodes face each other in a predetermined distance, and which is installed on a seawater inflow pipe for supplying seawater that cools a ship engine; a DC rectifier(200) installed with the electrolyzed water generator in parallel and connected to the positive electrode and the negative electrode by a cable to rectify and supply an electric current that is supplied to the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and connecting sockets(150a,150b) installed at both ends of the electrolyzed water generator to clamp the electrolyzed water generator to a seawater inflow pipe. The apparatus further comprises a concentration measuring sensor installed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode of the electrolyzed water generator such that the concentration measuring sensor is not interfered with the positive electrode and the negative electrode. Further, the positive electrode is made of titanium and the negative electrode is made of stainless steel.
