A recording method of an optical disk is provided to finish the recording work at proper time in order to record the data stably without loss, by checking whether information of the recorded data is the same as the data stored in a memory. A recording method of an optical disk comprises the steps of: recording data in an optical disk inserted(302); storing information of the recorded data in a memory(310,322); recording the information in a data information area of the optical disk(312,324); reading the data recorded in the data information area and re-recording the data stored in the memory when the data recorded in the data information area and the data stored in the memory are not the same(314,326); and readying to play or record when the data are the same(318).
