A chip type surge absorber is provided to attenuate an ESD(Electrostatic Discharge) peak voltage by an inductor and to attenuate an ESD clamping voltage by a discharge of a capacitor. A chip type surge absorber includes first conductor patterns(12,22,32), a second conductor pattern(42), and a third conductor pattern(44). An end of the first conductor patterns is coupled to an input terminal. The other end of the first conductors is coupled to an output terminal. A second conductor pattern is coupled to a ground terminal. An end of the third conductor pattern is coupled to at least one of the input terminal and the output terminal. The other end of the third conductor pattern is formed in perpendicular direction to the second conductor pattern. The interval is formed between the second conductor pattern and the third conductor pattern.
