SUB-FRAME MOUNT, LOWER FRAME RAIL ASSEMBLY PROVIDED WITH THE SAME, AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING SUB-FRAME MOUNT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent device for mounting sub-frame structure parts on a lower frame rail, especially suitable for manufacturing by hydroforming processing and usable to provide more stable supporting of a rear shock tower. SOLUTION: A frame member for an automobile is provided with a pair of tubular members 21 and 22 constituted to have opposite outside walls disposed with a space from inside walls. Each of the tubular members 21 and 22 is arranged adjacently to each other so that each of the inside walls may be mutually adjacently disposed. A mounting plate 44 is provided with a cylindrical mounting member 42 projecting in the vertical direction to the mounting plate 44. The cylindrical mounting member 42 is supported in cylindrical pockets formed in the inside walls of the tubular members 21 and 22. The pockets are provided with openings 56 for insertion of a fastening tool into the cylindrical supporting member 42, which can be accessed from the outside of the frame member.
