PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of reducing the volume of a radioactive waste including a woody component. SOLUTION: This woody component including radioactive waste volume reduction device includes an unpacking box for unpacking the woody component including radioactive waste packed with a packing material, and separating it into the packing material and the woody component including radioactive waste; a woody component separation box placed adjacently to the unpacking box, for separating the woody component from the woody component including radioactive waste carried in from the unpacking box by a band saw machine operated by a manual work utilizing an operation glove; a woody component cutting processing box placed adjacently to the woody component separation box, and equipped with a cutting device for cutting the separated woody component; a ventilation mean for evacuating each box, and guiding gases inside each box collectively to a filter device; and each operation glove provided on each box, and operable from the outside of each box.
