PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic binder for mold which can advantageously extend the useable time, and a molding sand composition which can be obtained by using this organic binder for mold and has extended useable time, and a mold which can be molded by gas-hardening such molding sand composition. SOLUTION: In the organic binder used for molding the gas-hardening mold of a phenol-urethane-base, a hetellocyclic compound which contains at least one carboxyl group and at least one nitrogen atom in this cyclic, or this derivative, together with a phenol resin, a polyisocyanate compound and an organic solvent, are contained as essential constituents.
