<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet transfer apparatus including an optimum path learning function according to a first-arrival port learning scheme, in which a plurality of ports are selected as a first-arrival port and they are handled as a first-arrival port group, and a load caused by traffic concentration or the like in a network system is distributed. <P>SOLUTION: A packet transfer apparatus 21 includes a plurality of ports #1-#N and when the identical non-learnt packets arrive at these ports, a packet processing section 24 judges a first arriving packets in these packets as a first-arrival packet. A first-arrival group comparative judgment section 23 then judges a plurality of ports for which first-arrival port conditions are established for regrading these ports as first-arrival ports at which first-arrival packets arrive, as first-arrival ports because of equal packet first-arrival property and includes these ports in the first-arrival port group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
