<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore drive control without stopping the rotation of a motor at a stage before a brushless DC motor driven by a sensorless system comes to a complete step-out. <P>SOLUTION: A step-out monitoring circuit 7 of a motor driving device 1 detects a sign that the brushless DC motor 2 is on the verge of shifting to a step-out state by monitoring the rotation state of the motor 2. When such a sign is detected, the motor is controlled in such a way that a conduction control circuit 4 stops driving the motor 2 temporarily to put it into a free running state before resuming the drive of the motor 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
