PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an optical film bringing about no spot-like flaw on its surface and causing no optical irregularity. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the optical film, pellets of a cycloolefinic resin are subject to melt extrusion molding using an extruder of which the opening part is held under an inert gas atmosphere with an oxygen concentration of 10 ppm or below.
