发明名称 A CELLULASE GENE FROM THERMOPHILIC MICROORGANISM
摘要 A cellulase gene isolated from thermophilic microorganism is provided to improve heat stability for showing highest activity of cellulase at high temperature and maximize solubility of insoluble cellulose substrate by isolating the cellulase gene from the representative thermophilic microorganism Thermus sp. A cellulase having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 is isolated from Thermus caldophilus GK24 and has optimal temperature of 70-85 deg. C. A gene encoding the cellulase has the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:2. A recombinant vector contains the cellulase gene of SEQ ID NO:2. A transformed microorganism Escherichia coli MV1184 is produced with the recombinant vector containing the cellulase gene of SEQ ID NO:2. The recombinant cellulase is produced by culturing the transformed microorganism Escherichia coli MV1184. The glucose or beta-glucan fragment containing cellobiose is produced by treating cellulose or beta-glucans with the recombinant cellulase.
