PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image storage apparatus capable of easily searching for prescribed image data without requiring any complicated registration work or the like. SOLUTION: According to the present invention, an image management apparatus comprises a registration means for registering, as management data, image data information in a prescribed file form added to image data; an acquisition means for acquiring information in order to register the image data in the management data for managing the image data; an addition means for adding the information acquired by the acquisition means as image data information to image data; and a detection means for detecting the acquired information, wherein when it is detected by the detection means that information which can be recorded in an image data of the prescribed file form is acquired, the addition means is configured to add the acquired information to the image data in the prescribed file form.
