<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed printing by split control, namely, a printed image with a high image quality by splitting a pixel into a plurality of elements in the sub-scanning direction and appropriately converting the gradation value of the split unit pixel, and to perform more rapidly the printing. <P>SOLUTION: An exposure head controlling apparatus exposes a plurality of the pixels by controlling a plurality of light emitting elements arranged in a first direction. The exposure head controlling apparatus is equipped with an exposure data generating part in which on a plurality of regions where respective pixels are split in a second direction intersecting the first direction, based on pixel gradation data indicating gradations of the respective pixels, region gradation data indicating gradations of respective regions are generated, and an exposure controlling part which exposes a plurality of the pixels by controlling a plurality of the light emitting elements from the region gradation data and exposing a plurality of the regions. In this exposure head controlling apparatus, by split control by suppressing the maximum number of gradation, a printing with a higher speed than the case of an ordinary split control can be executed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
