PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator installation and adjustment method executed by storing a first software in a control part even when there is no sufficient free space for adding and storing the first software necessary only in installation and adjustment of an elevator. SOLUTION: An autotuning software 10 necessary only in the installation and adjustment of the elevator is stored in the control part 5 of the elevator, and is executed. In autotuning operation for measuring a constant inherent to a motor 4, a converter control software 8 unnecessary in the installation and adjustment of the elevator is migrated temporarily from the control part 5 to an external storage device. Then, the autotuning software 10 is stored in the space in the control part 5 where the converter control software 8 is stored, and the autotuning software 10 is executed by the control part 5.
