A SLURRY DEHYDRATOR

A slurry dehydrator is provided to improve dehydration performance by rotating a vertical drum part rotated at a high speed and a pressing screw part rotated at a low speed oppositely to each other, and prevent environmental pollution due to wastewater containing sludge by ascending water and draining supernatant only while settling sludge in a space part between an intermediate pipe and a drain pipe installed in a central inner part of the pressing screw part. A slurry dehydrator comprises: a vertical drum part(1) which has a slurry supply part(2) formed on a bottom side thereof to supply a slurry into the vertical drum part and a slurry discharge part(3) formed on a top side thereof to discharge the slurry from the vertical drum part, and which is rotated at a high speed by power of a motor(11) to separate solids and liquid from the supplied slurry by the centrifugal force; and a pressing screw part which is installed within the vertical drum part and rotated at a low speed by power of a motor(41) to transfer and press the slurry supplied to the bottom side to an upper side and drain the separated water flown into the pressing screw part. The pressing screw part includes: a perforated pipe(42) having a drain part(43) formed therein; a transfer vanes formed on an outer peripheral surfaces of the perforated pipe; and an intermediate pipe(45) which is installed above the blocking part, of which a bottom portion is opened, and of which a top portion is fixed. The transfer vanes have elastic elements(441) projected from peripheries thereof. The drain part includes a drain pipe(431) and a blocking part(432). The slurry dehydrator further comprises an air injecting unit including a plurality of air injecting holes formed on a circumference of the vertical drum part and an air injecting impeller formed at an outer side of the air injecting holes. Further, the vertical drum part rotates in an opposite direction of a rotation direction of the pressing screw part.
