<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a necessary enough amount of a reaction liquid for improving the quality of an image by determining the amount of the reaction liquid corresponding to the amount of delivery of ink when recording is performed by using an ink nozzle composed of large and small nozzles. <P>SOLUTION: In accordance with the amount of delivery of the ink, the amount of the reaction liquid is made different.
