PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology preventing the entry of a foreign material into a storage box in a straddle type vehicle with a duct arranged between the storage box and a transmission case. SOLUTION: This straddle type vehicle 20 is provided with the transmission case 17 supported by a vehicle body frame 11 while having a belt type continuously variable transmission 18 built therein, a seat 46 arranged above the vehicle body frame 11, the storage box 45 arranged below the seat 46, and the duct arranged between the storage box 45 and the transmission case 17 for leading outside air into the transmission case 17. The storage box 45 is provided with a dividing means 78 dividing it into an article storage chamber 76 and an electric equipment storage chamber 77.
