PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine suppressing the impairment of a player's interest as much as possible. SOLUTION: This game machine includes a special game state control means controlling a progress of a game in a special game state where a game value awarding opportunity is increased more than that of a regular game state till the total number of the game value to be awarded to the player reaches a prescribed number, and a retention game state control means for controlling the progress of the game in a retention game state where the game value awarding opportunity equivalent to that of the regular game state is retained till the total number of the game value reaches the prescribed number. This game machine further includes a selection means having a prescribed condition creating an opportunity shifting the game state from the regular game state to the special game state, and a specific condition creating an opportunity shifting the game state from the regular game state to the retention game state, and selecting a ratio becoming the specific condition at a higher ratio than a ratio becoming the prescribed condition.
