PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer various information about setting a portable terminal between portable terminals. SOLUTION: An ID unit 60 stores setting information as various information about setting a portable terminal 10. When a communication route to the ID unit 60 is established on the basis of short-distance radio or electrostatic induction, the portable terminal 10 allows the ID unit 60 to work as a storage unit, and receives the setting information from the ID unit 60 and stores the received information into its own storage section. As described above, the portable terminal 10 controls itself so as to work in accordance with the received setting information from the ID unit 60.
