<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protein or a peptide containing at least one epitope of cedar pollen allergen Cry j II, especially a T-cell epitope, useful for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cedar pollen allergy. <P>SOLUTION: A cDNA encoding the cedar pollen allergen Cry j II is cloned and the whole amino acid sequence of the Cry j II is analyzed. Moreover, an overlapping peptide over the whole length of the amino acid sequence is synthesized and an overlapping peptide including the T-cell epitope is identified by using a Cry j II T-cell line derived from an allergic patient to cedar pollen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
