FLEXIBLE, HIGH PURITY EXPANDED GRAPHITE SHEET, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND CARBON CRUCIBLE LINING SHEET USING THE SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high purity, flexible expanded graphite sheet, a method of manufacturing the same and a carbon crucible lining sheet using the sheet. SOLUTION: The high purity, flexible expanded graphite sheet is obtained by preparing an expanded graphite sheet having bulk density adjusted within the range of 0.7-1.3 g/cm3by press molding expansion graphite with a press or a roll and then subjecting the expanded graphite sheet to a high purification treatment so that the content of impurities becomes≤5 ppm. The high purity, flexible expanded graphite sheet can be used for the carbon crucible lining sheet. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
