A propeller shaft is provided to regulate relative displacement between a front drive shaft and a rear drive shaft by installing a solenoid coil and a permanent magnet at a connection between the front drive shaft and the rear drive shaft and a cross shaft respectively. A propeller shaft comprises a front drive shaft(10), a rear drive shaft(20), a permanent magnet(30), a solenoid coil(40), and a sensing member(50). The front drive shaft has a shaft yoke(11) facing to an end, wherein power of an engine is transmitted. The rear drive shaft gear is connected to the shaft yoke with a cross shaft(13), and transmits torque from the front drive shaft to a differential gear. The permanent magnet is mounted at the shaft yoke of the front drive shaft. The second solenoid coil is placed at a connection between the front drive shaft and the cross shaft to transmit magnetic force to the first magnet selectively. The sensing member is adjacent to the cross shaft, and measures relative rotation displacement of the shaft yoke for the cross shaft.
