APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING A CALL IN HETEROGENEOUS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A heterogeneous communication system and a call processing method in a heterogeneous communication system are provided to effectively process an incoming call between CS(Circuit Service) calls without passing through an IMS domain. A terminal(101) supports a domain transfer between CS-IMS(IP(Internet Protocol) Multimedia Subsystem) networks. A VCC(Voice Call Control) AS(Application Server)(121) exchanges information immediately after registration information between the terminal and the VCC AS. Or, if session information is changed according to a selection of an operator or a user, the VCC AS supports a MEP(Mobility Event Package) for exchanging information between the terminal and the VCC AS. An S-CSCF(Serving-Control Session Call Function) controls a call setup/release between a destination terminal and an origination terminal, and when IMS mode information of a user is transferred to the VCC AS, the S-CSCF updates service profile according to a request of an HSS(Home Subscriber Server)(123). The HSS stores the service profile, and an HLR(Home Location Register)(115) manages VCC subscriber information in a CS domain.
