PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of performing varied direction image display while making a player recognize a pattern display area in a display area without a sense of incongruence. SOLUTION: A partition image for constructing a part of a background image to visually clearly divide a variable area 203 and the background image is provided at the boundary between the variable area 203 and the background image provided to a liquid crystal display device 200. When a symbol P displayed in a way that it moves to the outside of the variable area 203 is displayed so that it fades while being displayed in the way that it passes the back of the partition image at the display position of the partition image, a plurality of display patterns different in at least one of shape, size of the variable area 203, or position in the display area 201 are selectively displayed on the liquid crystal display device 200.
