<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretchable hose, which is laid in a maximum extended state in a non-load time such that the contracting tendency of hose wall which causes deterioration of ventilation resistance in a hose is prevented, and the self-standing property of the hose is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The stretchable hose 1 is molded by preliminarily molding a spiral core material 3 so as to have a first pitch in a non-load state, and integrating the core material 3 with a flexible hose wall 2a so that the core material is axially compressed in the maximum extended state of the hose to have a second pitch.
