METHOD FOR HANDOVER OF MULTI MODE TERMINALS

An inter-system handover method of a multi-mode terminal is provided to perform handover between systems by adding the least procedure by using a radio access protocol having the existing wide area coverage as it is. A handover request message is received from a terminal(100). A handover preparation request message including a network address of the terminal is transmitted to the second wireless access system based on the handover request message. A handover preparation complete message including multicast group information generated by the second wireless access system based on the network address of the terminal is received. The terminal is instructed to perform handover based on the received handover preparation complete message.
