摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a downsized/lightweight electromagnetic apparatus and magnetic resonance imaging apparatus by removing unnecessary constitution as much as possible in the electromagnet apparatus generating a static magnetic field perpendicularly to the insertion direction of a subject. SOLUTION: This electromagnet apparatus includes a first coil 31 in which a first ring current J1 circulates in a forward direction, a second coil 32 in which a second ring current J2 circulates in an inverse direction, and coil group 30 in which a plurality of ring currents J3-J6 circulates alternately in the forward direction and the inverse direction; and the first coil 31, the second coil 32 and the coil group 30 are so disposed that the elevation anglesθincrease in this order (θ1<θ2<θ3), and a blank region S which includes neither the second coil 32 nor the coil group 30 is present in an angle area clamping the elevation angleθ2 and the elevation angleθ3.
