PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve vibration resistance by shifting a resonance frequency of a disk to a higher frequency without hindering miniaturization of the disk unit. SOLUTION: The disk unit comprises a head section for reading and writing information on the disk 11, a turn table 507 on which the disk 11 is placed, and a clamper 610 which clamps the disk 11 together with the turn table 507. The clamper 610 has a first contact section 610a which contacts the clamping area 11a of the disk 11, and a second contact section 610b which contacts the surface of the data area 11b of the disk 11 (opposite surface to the recording surface).
