PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inert gas replacing system for container head spaces, which makes it possible to manufacture high quality products the head spaces of which are filled with inert gas not contaminated with air without requiring a large quantity of nitrogen. SOLUTION: The inert gas system is designed such that a means for spraying inert gas has the form of a hollow solid the side faces of which are approximately a right-angled triangle, and a bottom plate corresponding to the base of the right-angled triangle is disposed close to the openings of the containers. In addition, spray holes for the inert gas in the solid are made in parts of the bottom plate, which parts face the openings of the containers intermittently stopped. Further, a top plate corresponding to the oblique side of the right-angled triangle has the form of an inclined face inclining downward in the advancing direction of the containers from the upper end of a side plate corresponding to the height of the triangle.
